Q. How do I obtain a permit to film in the City of Yuma?
A. The Film Commission has a liaison with the City of Yuma to assist Filmmakers.

Q. Do you have an airport in Yuma?
A. Yes, Yuma International Airport. It is one of the largest runways in the United States and has been named as an alternative site for the Space Shuttle. It is also adjacent to Yuma Marine Air Base, which is home to several types of fighter jets like the Harrier.

Q. How far is Yuma from major metropolitan areas?
A. From Los Angeles: 1 hour by air and 3 ½ by automobile. From San Diego: Under 3 hours by automobile. From Phoenix: 1 hour by air and under 3 hours by automobile.

A. Approximately 80,000 in the city and 120,000 if you include the county. What is unique is that our population increasing another 80,000 during the winter from winter visitors due to our exceptional weather.
